BITCOIN PRIVACY

We'll explain how to use Bitcoin correctly and protect your privacy. Since Bitcoin is only pseudonymous and not anonymous, there are a few points to consider. This is where many people often obtain their Bitcoin via KYC, rather than "peer-to-peer" as described in the white paper. This way, the exchange/state knows who you are, how much you own, where you transfer what, etc. Companies like Chainalytics already collect all this data, as do intelligence agencies (NSA, Europol, etc.).

Once you know who is hiding behind the address, you have lost your pseudonymity.
Which can become disastrous later on.

Here are a few examples of what you can learn:

  • NoKYC Bitcoin: Peer-to-peer through Bisq, RoboSats, etc.

  • Own node: Proper management via Tor, etc.

  • Wallet: Proper wallet with UTXO management - Sparrow.

  • Control and understand your shipments.

Your threat model and paranoia can also play a role here. We're happy to advise you on this. This can even extend to your own self-hosted server and isolated Linux systems.
